Meditation was my game-changer.

I believe in resilience. And I believe the best way to get it is by practicing mindfulness meditation.

Hey there, I’m Tanya. Nice to e-meet you!

I used to dread stressful or anxious situations because I just didn’t have the resilience to handle them. I wanted to crumble every time I was faced with a difficult or challenging circumstance.

Like many, I thought mindfulness meditation was “airy-fairy-woo-woo” and only for hippies. But when I learned it was backed by over 40 years of scientific research, I took the time to try it.

Now, after practicing mindfulness meditation daily, my resilience is stronger than I ever imagined it could be.

It starts with just a few moments

This wasn’t a quick fix: you can’t build your resilience overnight the same way you won’t run 10K the first time you step on a treadmill. But over the years I’ve experienced growth and improvement in many aspects of my own life, all by taking a few moments each day to sit in stillness and just be in the present moment.

After completing the 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program and deepening my practice at mindfulness silent retreats, I realized I had the skills to make a difference to principals, teachers, teaching assistants, and other educators from feeling stressed and overwhelmed.

In July 2018 I became a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator through Vancouver-based The Calm Monkey. I thrive on an active daily meditation practice of my own, embodying mindfulness as a way of life, and I love bringing the benefits of mindfulness meditation to others.

Nurturing compassion for themselves and others

As a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator, I’ve helped educators and other professionals in educational fields build their resilience and improve their work performance.

I’ve helped them nurture the compassion for themselves and others that makes them so wonderful at what they do, and I’d love to help you too.
